Description
Winch booster
This winch booster has been designed to meet requirements of a dual battery electrical system in vehicle. It lets the dual battery output 12V or 24V by manual or signal.
IMPORTANT:
A) Auxiliary battery must NOT be earthed to vehicle chassis only to terminal-6.
B) Do not connect V+ of auxiliary to V+ of main directly only to terminal-7
C) Winch solenoid –ve must only connect to terminal-4 (remove existing motor earth)
D) Do not install under the bonnet or close to the exhaust system or any other heat source
1)Automatic mode by signal: Switch OFF (led is off): winch OUT 12v (led stays off) and winch IN 24V (led comes on)
2)Manual mode: Switch ON (led is light): OUT put constant 24 volts (led stays on)
3)12V mode: Switch OFF (led is off) No signal to terminal 1 (led is off all times): OUT put constant 12 volts.
The main battery is charged at all times, the auxiliary battery is ONLY charged when output 12V(led off).
During 24V winching, auxiliary battery is NOT charged.!
It is NOT recommended to let the winch run on 24V during winching OUT or at NO LOAD situations! OWN RISK!
This can cause winch motor damage due to over speeding the motor (high RPM’s).
